*Commercial transport is for dogs being imported to Canada for purposes of sale or resale, adoption, breeding, show or exhibition, training or scientific research. If you are bringing a dog into Canada on behalf of an animal welfare organization, then customs officials will consider the import commercial. Rescue dogs destined for adoption are also considered commercial for import purposes. There will be additional requirements that will be included.
