Prior to booking your pet's transport by air, it is essential that you understand and follow the pet policies of the airline you are considering. Not knowing the airlines' requirements could result in your pet being denied the right to board the aircraft. There are 3 classes of service that the airline may offer your pet: in-cabin, accompanied checked baggage and air cargo. Not all airlines offer every class of service to pets which is why it is important to be familiar with your airline's pet policies before you book.
Owning a route versus operating a route
If you are considering an airline that operates a route owned by another airline, know that it is the airline pet policies of the airline operating the route that will preside.
Layovers
If you change airline companies at a layover airport, then your pet will need to clear customs to check in at the second airline. Additional fees will be due at check in.
We verify all forms and instructions for your airline prior to sending them to you so that you will be prepared in advance of travel.
If you request the forms to be sent via email delivery, the documents are delivered within 24 hours or less of receipt of your order. If there is a delay due to our having to verify information, you will be advised.
If we do not list your airline of interest, email us at info@pettravel.com.
If you are traveling internationally, you can review our up-to-date pet import regulations for the country your pet is entering.
