Southwest Airlines Pet Policy
Southwest Airlines requires that your dog or cat be transported in an approved pet carrier. Pets are not allowed to travel as checked baggage or cargo on Southwest Airlines.
Your veterinarian should certify that your pet's vaccination is current and that your pet is healthy enough to travel and is free of diseases communicable to humans. Southwest Airlines requires that you provide copies of the veterinary certificates and other documents required by the country to which you are traveling.

- Instructions, in cabin and cargo regulations, and other information for transporting your pet on Southwest Airlines
