SAS Airlines Pet Policy
SAS requires that your pet be accompanied by a certificate of good health, and that your dog or cat is transported in a compliant pet carrier or cargo crate.
Your veterinarian will be certifying that your pet is healthy enough to travel and is free of diseases communicable to humans. SAS also requires that you provide copies of the veterinary certificates and other documents required by the country to which you are traveling.
Your airline pet passport package includes:
- Instructions, in cabin and cargo regulations, and other information for transporting your pet on SAS
- Acclimation Certificate and instructions for its use**
- Airline Veterinary Certificate and instructions
- Pet Passport Folder - included with First Class Mail Delivery Options above
- Unlimited Email Support
**During periods of very cold weather, an acclimation certificate may also be required for pets traveling in cargo. On most airlines, pets are not accepted for transport in the cargo section of the airline when the ground temperature is below 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) at any location on the itinerary UNLESS the pet has a veterinarian's statement of low temperature acclimation (Acclimation Certificate).
All instructions and SAS pet policies are verified at the time of order.
Additional forms can be self-printed from the Email Attachment option.
There are no refunds on forms unless there is a problem with the information or forms provided.
