Pet Passport Barbados

Pets can enter Barbados only directly from the United Kingdom. If your pet is traveling from a country with low incidence of rabies, in order to avoid quarantine, the regulations of the Pet Scheme must be met. Your pet be micro chipped with a 15 digit ISO Standard 11784 pet microchip. If your pet has a non-ISO microchip, then you need to carry your own microchip scanner.

Your pet must be vaccinated 6 months in advance of travel and undergo a Blood Titer Test. Then your pet can travel directly from the UK to Barbados. Prior to leaving, a USDA accredited veterinarian must then complete the proper Veterinary Certificate and attach the APHIS Form 7001 and Blood Titer Test results for certification by the USDA or CFIA if traveling from the United States or Canada. If you are traveling from another country, the instructions will advise you of the proper procedure.

Additionally, Barbados also requires an Import Permit and that your pet be treated for Echinococcus (ticks and tapeworms) just prior to travel.
