Southwest Airlines Pet Policy

Southwest Airlines requires that your pet be transported in an approved pet carrier. Pets are not allowed to travel as checked baggage or cargo on Southwest Airlines.

Your veterinarian will be certifying that your pet is healthy enough to travel and is free of diseases communicable to humans. Southwest Airlines requires that you provide copies of the veterinary certificates and other documents required by the country to which you are traveling.

All instructions and Southwest Airlines pet policies are verified at the time of order. Additional forms can be self printed from the Email Attachment option.
